Chat Navigator for ChatGPT & Claude — Prompt Outline

Chat Navigator for ChatGPT & Claude adds a collapsible outline panel to the right edge of your ChatGPT and Claude conversations. It lists every prompt you have sent in that chat, so a long back-and-forth becomes a scannable table of contents instead of an endless scroll.

It runs entirely inside your own open ChatGPT or Claude tab. The panel is built from the prompt and answer text already rendered on the page, and it re-scans automatically as new messages stream in. No conversation content is read by any server the developer operates, and the extension makes no network calls of its own beyond the optional Pro purchase check.

What it does

• Adds a collapsible outline panel listing every prompt in the current conversation, with a live count.
• Click any entry to smooth-scroll straight to that point in the chat, with a brief highlight flash on the message.
• Tracks your scroll position and highlights the prompt you are currently reading.
• Collapse the panel to a small floating button and bring it back anytime — this is free forever.
• Pro (one-time $7, no subscription): keyboard navigation between prompts with Alt+Up / Alt+Down, a toggle to collapse every long AI answer to a short preview, and the option to pin the panel permanently open.

How to use it

Install the extension, then open a conversation on chatgpt.com or claude.ai. The outline panel appears on the right edge of the page once your prompts are detected. Click any entry to jump to it, or click the panel's collapse button to tuck it away as a small floating button. Free-tier users see an upgrade button in the panel footer and in the extension's popup; Pro unlocks keyboard navigation, answer-collapsing, and pinning for a one-time $7 payment handled by ExtensionPay.
